I have a PhD in political science from Uppsala University, Sweden. I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication, Stockholm School of Economics, and a postdoctoral fellow at Ax:son Johnson Institute for Statecraft and Diplomacy. I am also affiliated with the Department of Government at Uppsala University, where I defended my PhD thesis in September 2024.
My main research interests are foreign policy, security, diplomacy, and statecraft, with an empirical focus on Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, and the EU's Eastern Neighborhood more broadly.
From 2020 to 2024, I was the Research Coordinator for the Swedish Network for European Studies in Political Science (SNES) and a co-editor for Palgrave Macmillan's book series on Interdisciplinary European Studies.
I have been a visiting scholar at the Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (IERES), the Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University, United States, and the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, Tbilisi, Georgia. I have lived in Georgia and Ukraine for shorter periods and have traveled in the broader region.
I am also a guitar player, mainly playing blues, bebop jazz, and heavy rock.
